He was named CEO on July 2nd, 2000 , and has served as the company’s president since April 1989 . In his role as the president and chief executive officer, Manclark oversees the formulation and execution of the companies goals, objectives, and long-term strategic plans. Since becoming CEO, Manclark has successfully led the company through the most difficult period in its history. After 9/11 Manclark oversaw the successful restructuring of Leading Edge, and helped reshape Leading Edge into a financially viable Part 145 service provider by reducing operating costs and driving the company to provide a level of service and innovation not previously available in its specialized fields. In 2007, Leading Edge had the highest profit margins among all related industry providers in its sector, and the second most profitable year in its 19 year history. While serving as CEO, Manclark has developed an international branch to the family of companies including business in the UK, Middle East, and South East Asia. Manclark holds a bachelor of science degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and attended business school at Chapman College in California. He serves as an active Commissioner in the Orange County Sheriffs Department, is a licensed Commercial Multi Engine Pilot, on the Advisory Board for Victorville International Airport and sits on the Board of Directors for Leading Edge Holdings. Manclark is married and has two children. |
